Stunning Renovation Complete
With an extensive $22 million renovation nearly completed, Hyatt Regency Sarasota now boasts a casually sophisticated "Florida chic" feel inspired by the bright and airy designs of Lilly Pulitzer. The hotel's 294 guestrooms and common areas have been entirely transformed to create the ultimate contemporary Florida setting.
Floor-to-ceiling windows in the open lobby area provide stunning views of the hotel's private 32-slip marina and lagoon-style pool, and all guestrooms feature balconies with views of either the marina or Sarasota Bay. Currents, Hyatt Regency Sarasota's new restaurant, features fresh flavors from Florida and the Caribbean in addition to the standard favorites.

Hyatt Regency Sarasota's other new features include:
- Guestrooms – All guestrooms have completely redesigned bathrooms as well as new carpet, tile, lighting and balcony doors. Added amenities include the signature Hyatt Grand Bed™, 32-inch flat-screen televisions, iHome™ clock radios with iPod® docking stations, wireless internet access and expanded work stations with oversized desks.
- Meeting and event space – As part of the hotel’s 20,000 square feet of function space, the 10,000-square-foot Sarasota Ballroom has been redesigned with new carpeting, fixtures and furniture. Our beloved Boathouse has been transformed into premier over-the-water event space appointed with a classy yet quaint design inspired by vintage Lilly Pulitzer. The brand new 2,000-square-foot Tropics Room has been added providing floor-to-ceiling views of the lagoon-style pool and private marina.
- Currents restaurant and bar – Located in a bi-level space just below the lobby, Currents showcases the fresh "Floribbean" creations of Nicaraguan-born Executive Chef Aaron Chavarria. Ancho Spiced Tuna, Linguini w/ Sautéed Shrimp & Scallops, and Brazil Nut Salad are just a few of the regionally inspired signature dishes. Currents also offers a bountiful breakfast buffet and a la carte choices. Food service is also available in a welcoming library space and at shared tables located just off of the main lobby.
